The Gift Guide
Stumped for what to get your friends and family this holiday season? Want to take care of all your shopping online? Looking for things to put on your own wish list?
With the help of a few friends, I've just launched a holiday gift guide full of great products not before seen here on Cool Hunting. There's also a list of fantastic web boutiques full of things I love.
The guide is true curatorial. No one has paid to be in there-- that would compromise the integrity of what I have to offer. It's also advertisement free, which is a nice change of pace. Currently there are 39 items in the guide and new stuff will be added every day.
Now some of you may be upset to have to pay for the guide (c'mon, it's only $7.95). The fact is that I'm trying to make a living here, so even if you don't believe in paying for content, buy it anyway as a 'thank you' for the last 2 years of Cool Hunting. And don't worry, Cool Hunting will remain free.
A big thanks to Evan, Joel and Josh S. for all their help in getting this thing live.
Buy it now or read on for more information.

More Pics from CHV50 - Ok, this is the last post about our party, but I had such a great time I can't help myself. This set of pictures is from Leo Zacharias, and features some shots of the art and the people. There's also a pretty genius one of Scott and Ami who took a break from the after party clean-up to pose with some dude who was...

CHV50 - You may have noticed it has been a light week of posting around here. Our efforts have been focused on creating last night's party celebrating the 50th episode of Cool Hunting Video. Held at the Art Director's Club here in New York we brought together art, music, food and beverage that has previously been featured on the site or in our videos. Over 400...
Summer Break - You might notice CH looking a little different starting today and through the coming week. That's because we're taking about as much of a break as we ever take in honor of the upcoming Labor Day holiday. We'll take next Monday 4 September 2006 off entirely, but until then expect a feature length story as well as a shorter post daily, and perhaps a little...
Contest Winner: Katana Series Knives by Calphalon - In our recent post on the Katana Series Knives by Calphalon we asked you to send in your favorite kitchen mishap to win an 8-piece set of these great knives (featured on the right). It was a close call. Highlighted by inadvertent slices and dices to various body parts, maggots, festering meats, potato plants growing in cubbards, ruined meals, a few sexually deviant acts,...
Clarification: New Balance 574s - In response to a handful of emails about a post I wrote last week about the New Balance 574s, I thought I'd clarify a couple of points. I said that the company was started by an Englishman. 33 year old William J. Riley immigrated to the US from England, and later founded New Balance in Boston, Massachussetts at the start of the 20th Century....
Le Cool: Winners - We received loads of emails from readers in our contest with great reasons why we should send them Le Cool's essential Barcelona guide. Some of you are plain desperate, making out it will be the only way to keep your boyfriend/girlfriend/job/sanity. I wish we had more to hand out. Our two winners, each of whom will be sent a copy, are Ivana in Zagreb, Croatia...
