ITP Spring Show 2006
Each ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program) expo seems bigger, crazier, and more well-produced than the next. Last week's show was no exception with projects like the De-Painter, a machine that uses viewers' movements to generate paintings, and a Bluetooth person-tracking system called BlueWay. The digital readout pictured above left is Robert Seward's trippy Consciousness Field Resonator that takes the concept behind Princeton's Global Consciousness Project...

ITP Winter Show
Mark your calendars because next Sunday and Monday is the Interactive Telecommunications Program Winter Show. The student work presented will include interactive art and sound, assistive technology, wireless devices and physical installations. ITP is a fantastic program that pushes the boundaries of technology mediated interactive experiences. It's also near and dear because some of us here at CH (myself included) graduated from there or...

Aichi Expo
Times Online has a wonderful article about the Aichi Expo in Japan... Wondering what it would be like to star in a film before you see it? You can go to see a special animated film at the expo, and you will be asked if you'd like to take part in the show on your way in--just by placing your face into a hole...

ITP Spring Show 2008
Spring in NYC means trees in full bloom, lightened moods and NYU's semi-annual mega-exhibit of art and technology, the ITP show taking place this year 12-13 May 2008. While every season promises an outpouring of creativity, this time around I was particularly intrigued by a project more straightforward than most but with a subject after my own (and Josh's) heart called "Born Dropped Out,...

Wired NextFest 2007
From ideas that ran from the creepy (like regenerated body parts including bladders) to conceptually fascinating (like a harp with strings made from lasers and a Lifestraw that kills sinister infectious organisms in water upon contact), over 160 exhibitors at the 4th annual Wired NextFest in Los Angeles this past weekend enthusiastically revealed their visions of the future to receptive nerds of all ages....
